Welcome to Denbigh Muscle Therapy Clinic

Denbigh Muscle Therapy Clinic is owned by Gerwyn Jones.  I am soft tissue specialist, located in the heart of the Vale of Clwyd, North Wales.  I am experienced in treating a range of clientele, from professional and elite level sports people through to young and elderly members of the public.

The Clinics treatment approach

The aim at Denbigh Muscle Therapy Clinic is to treat the root cause of any muscular related pain, not just the symptoms. Very often this can lead to treatment taking place away from the site of injury, treating muscular imbalances and dysfunction further up or down the kinetic chain, which may be causing pain, strain and discomfort elsewhere in the body.  A range of soft tissue manual therapy techniques and treatments are used, drawn from the fields of physiotherapy, osteopathy, sports massage and kinesiology.

No two clients receive the same treatment at the clinic.  Treatments and the techniques used are very much tailored to the presenting symptoms and needs of individual clients.  These include:-

  • Soft Tissue Release Therapy
  • Neuromuscular techniques, including Muscle Energy Techniques (a form of stretching therapy); trigger point/positional release therapy
  • Muscular Activation
  • Myofascial Kinesiology Taping
  • Sports & Deep Tissue Massage

Denbigh Muscle Therapy Clinic places great emphasis on client education and home care treatment, helping you to understand your condition and empowering you to become proactive in your own recovery.  Treatment objectives focus on achieving the following:

  • Reducing chronic (long term) muscular pain
  • Assisting recovery from acute (new) injuries
  • Improving Posture
  • Improving Muscular Function and Performance
  • Improving Movement
  • Pre and post sporting event preparation and recovery
